DCP In Your Town: Ft. Myers
and Tampa
DCP will be in Fort Myers July 23 to 25 for the 2009 FLASLA Annual Conference and Expo. LAE lecturer Glenn Acomb will present the education session "The Greening the Campus: A Landscape Architect’s Role in Green Design at the University of Florida." If you are attending the conference, be sure to look for a special UF reception following the Design Awards Gala on July 24. More information on this exclusive reception will be available via email and at the conference.
DCP also will be in Tampa July 29 to August 1 for the 2009 AIA Florida Annual Convention. The convention will feature a breakfast on July 31 sponsored by the UF School of Architecture.
Interior Design: Call for Nominations
The Department of Interior Design is currently accepting nominations for its 2009 Distinguished Alumni award. Visit the Web site for criteria and a list of past recipients. Email your nominations to Jeannie Summers by July 1, 2009.

Michael Goodwin, ARC 1980, has been employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years. Michael is the manager of facilities field operations, overseeing the facilities activities for one of the largest building owners in the world.
William Medellin, M.Arch 1985, was honored in April by The Dade Heritage Trust for an Outstanding Historic Restoration of Miami's first high school,"Old Miami High."
