College of Fine Arts alumna Spring Dautel has come a long way from Gainesville. After receiving her master's degree from Christie's, she worked in sales at Christie's and is now the director of Haunch of Venison gallery in New York. To read more, click here.

RicksDee Dee Ricks (BS HHP '91)
In April 2007, Dee Dee Ricks was diagnosed with breast cancer. While she had enough money to help pay for the outrageous costs of treatment, she realized that not many others do. So Ricks embarked on a journey to help ease the financial woes of others who have been diagnosed with the disease, all while filming every moment of her own battle in the HBO documentary The Education of Dee Dee Ricks. Martin H. Levin Advocacy Center wins LEED award

The Martin H. Levin Advocacy Center has been recognized for its environmentally friendly and energy-efficient design. It received the gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating. To read more, click here.

The completion of this building was made possible by a $1 million donation from Teri Levin (pictured far right) in 2009 in honor of her late husband, Allen Levin. UF Law celebrated the opening of the Advocacy Center courtroom in early 2011. Ms. Levin is a member of the UF Foundation Board of Directors.

David A. Cofrin Asian Art Wing to open in spring 2012

On March 31, 2012, the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art will unveil its new 26,000-square-foot Asian art wing to the public. It will feature works from China, India, Japan, Korea, South and Southeast Asia as well as Asian-inspired gardens for meditation and relaxation. The museum's expansion is funded in part by a $10 million gift from the late David A. Cofrin and his wife, Mary Ann. To read more, click here.
