For several months now, we have been sending a monthly alumni e-mail to inform and update you on events and activities at the College of Veterinary Medicine. We have now redesigned it to be more reader-friendly, user-friendly and web savvy.
UF CVM Homecoming Celebration Oct. 7 & 8
We can't wait to see all the alumni who registered to attend the annual homecoming celebration this year. We will kickoff the weekend with a Welcome Mixer for Alumni, Faculty, Staff and Students, followed by Gator Growl on Friday night. On Saturday, we will have the Alumni Council meeting, our Homecoming Celebration BBQ, and the Gator football game. Go Gators!
Distinguished Awards Nominations are due
November 15 is the deadline to nominate alumni for the Distinguished Awards program. Nomination forms are located on our Alumni Affairs Web page. Recipients will be named in the spring, and awards will be presented at commencement. For more information on preparing a nomination packet, contact Sarah Carey, director of Public Relations, careys@mail.vetmed.ufl.edu.
CVM Alumni Reception at NAVC 2006
It will be here before we know it. NAVC registration is open so get yours in today!
If you are going to the NAVC, be sure to come by the UF CVM Alumni Reception to visit with your former classmates and faculty. The reception is Sunday, Jan. 8 starting at 7 p.m. in the Marriott World Center in Orlando.
Alumni News
The Class of 1985 celebrated their 20th reunion with a Bahamas cruise last June. Photos and details are on the Alumni Reunion Web page.
The Class of 1981 will celebrate their 25th reunion this coming spring. More information to come.
About 100 CVM alumni, faculty and students attended the CVM Alumni Reception during FVMA at the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on Sept. 10.
