AAEP Annual Convention
The American Association for Equine Practitioners will hold its 51st annual conference December 3-7, 2005, in Seattle, WA.  UF CVM will host an alumni reception on Monday, December 5, 2005, at 6 PM in the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers. 

CVM Alumni Reception at NAVC 2006
If you are going to the NAVC, be sure to come by the UF CVM Alumni Reception to visit with your former classmates and faculty.  The reception is Sunday, January 8, 2006, starting at 7 PM in the Crystal H Ballroom, Orlando World Center Marriott Resort.

AKC/Eukanuba National Champion Dog Show
The American Kennel Club announces its annual AKC/Eukanuba National Championship will be held January 14-15, 2006, in Tampa, FL.  The College of Veterinary Medicine will have an exhibit booth in the Tampa Convention Center, so stop by and say hello.

Western Veterinary Conference Alumni Reception
The 78th Western Veterinary Conference is February 19-23, 2006, at the Mandalay Bay Resort, Las Vegas.   UF CVM will host an alumni reception on Monday, February 20, 2006, from 7:30-9:30 PM in Palm E conference room.

Building Tradition Brick by Brick
The CVM Class of 1980 purchased a commemorative brick for the Emerson Alumni Hall plaza.  The brick’s inscription reads "College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 1980, Charter Class." 

The CVM Class of 1995 also purchased a commemorative brick for the Emerson Alumni Hall plaza. The brick’s inscription reads "In Memory of Melanie M. Penn, Class of 1995, College of Vet Med."  The next time you visit campus, go by the Emerson Alumni Hall plaza to see these bricks.

During the holiday season, many people feel that it is the appropriate time to give thanks to their alma mater for preparing them for LIFE, both professionally and personally. Keep in mind that any gift you make may qualify for a charitable deduction on your tax return according to IRS rules. We have also posted a brief survey on our Alumni Affairs Web page.  We are interested in hearing from you regarding our recent Homecoming Celebration, revised Web site, and how you want to receive information from the college.  Please take a few minutes to print, mark answers, and fax back to us at 352-392-8351.

Class Reunions

The Class of 1981 will celebrate their 25th reunion April 21-22, 2006.  These classmates will become charter members of the UF Alumni Association’s Silver Society.  Other events will include a barbecue, the Orange and Blue football scrimmage, a concert by the LandSharks (a Jimmy Buffet tribute band) and more.  Watch our e-news for more information.

No Coke – Pepsi
That’s been the buzz word around UF for a few months now.  In August, UF signed an exclusive multi-year beverage contract with Pepsi.  Only Pepsi products are allowed to be sold at UF campus and affiliated venues, football stadium, O’Connell Center, etc.

Gators Across The Globe Are Just A Mouse Click Away
The University of Florida Alumni Association is connecting Gators across the country on the Gator Nation Network (GNN).  This tool allows UF alumni and friends to network, socialize and communicate in a secure, private setting. GNN is an interactive community specifically created for Gators only that allow users to locate other Gators in their area and reconnect with old friends.  Just register and begin growing your network today!

International Gator Clubs
Feeling kind of lonely….got the "Orange and Blue" blues? The UF Alumni Association has 10 international Gator Clubs in countries like Bermuda, Japan, London, Peru, Taiwan and also Western Europe.  Many of these clubs have frequent Gator Gatherings.  To join, contact the UF Alumni Association below.

Back to College 2006
The University of Florida Alumni Association invites you Back to College 2006 featuring the Colleges of Design, Construction and Planning, Education, Medicine and Nursing, as well as honoring Florida Football, Stephen C. O’Connell Center and Smathers Libraries.
The UF Alumni Association offers you the opportunity to return to campus in February 23-25, 2006, for an educational encounter with the faculty and staff of UF.
