Dean Joe DiPietroGood bye and good luck, Dean DiPietro

Dear College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni,

On December 21, I accepted the position of Vice President for Agriculture for The University of Tennessee System. My starting date will be sometime in the latter part of February to early March. The exact date needs to be worked out with VP Barrett and VP Cheek to best accommodate my remaining duties at UF, transition to interim leadership of the CVM, and my new endeavors at UT.

I have loved my work at UF and even more the College of Veterinary Medicine and its people. I have many fond memories of our place, and Deb and I have made many very good friends and colleagues. I have learned a great deal from our alumni and many others at UF that helped prepare me for my new position and will serve me well.

Thanks for your support and hard work to advance the CVM. I know I can count on your cooperation as I work with VP Barrett and VP Cheek in preparation for the transition to new leadership of the college. We will keep you informed regarding plans for interim leadership and the search process as the new year begins. All the best, Joe.
