Additional Gameday Information for Gator Fans
Zero Waste Initiatives
As part of the University of Florida's zero waste ambitions, The Swamp is taking the first step in 2013.
- Please take note of visual aids at each station to help fans get it in the right can.
- Please make note that all cups (other than the souvenir cup), plates and silverware are compostable
- Please make note that coffee creamer containers, ice cream wrappers, and any bottle or can should go in the recyclable container
- Green team members will be throughout Ben Hill Griffin Stadium educating fans and assisting in the sorting of compostable and recyclable items.
Bag Check Procedures
In continual efforts to maintain the highest standard of security at the Swamp, bag check procedures have changed for 2013.
- Please take note of visual aids at each gate directing those with bags and those without for most expedient entry.
- Fans are reminded that backpacks and large carry bags are prohibited inside of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on game day.
- Anyone entering the stadium with a permissible carry bag will be searched by law enforcement officers stationed at designated bag check lines upon entering the stadium. Those fans in attendance without a bag are encouraged to enter through a "No Bag" line to help the entry process proceed as quickly as possible.
- For overall safety and security, the University Athletic Association encourages that fans reduce the need to bring bags with them to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and leave all unnecessary items at home, or in their vehicle.
- Please remember that law enforcement officials have the right to inspect any individual or item at any time for the purpose of spectator safety. Additionally, all prohibited items must be returned to vehicles or be disposed before entering the stadium; there are no provisions to check items at any of the gates.
